I'm a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist (CBH) helping people manage anxiety, worry, or stress. I can help you overcome challenges like social anxiety, fear of public speaking, lack of confidence, or phobias.

My approach combines practical CBT strategies with hypnosis to manage anxiety and stress effectively through methods such as:

Reversing "Negative Self-Hypnosis": I view being "stuck" in negative thoughts and imagining worst-case scenarios as a form of self-hypnosis. I teach strategies like replacing scary thoughts with realistic suggestions or using mindfulness to allow unpleasant feelings to pass, fostering self-awareness and present-moment focus.

Deep Relaxation: Anxiety involves physical tension, especially around the forehead and eyes. Using hypnosis and techniques like Progressive Muscle Relaxation, we reduce this tension for profound effects:

• Behaviour: Reduced physical tension weakens the startle reflex.
• Cognitive/Emotional: Relaxing eye muscles and vocal cords helps quiet the mind, reducing the frequency and intensity of racing thoughts.

Mental Rehearsal: In a relaxed state, you vividly imagine successfully managing stressful situations. This mental practice builds self-efficacy and trains you to maintain composure in real life. We then look for opportunities to apply these new skills daily.
